Naked Bike (2016–17) uses the motorcycle as a charged tool to reframe how women are seen, and how they see and inhabit themselves. Rooted in my own life as a rider, the project unfolded in studio sessions where women posed with their bikes, then stripped down and actively engaged their bodies with them; and guerrilla street shoots where they shed clothing in public space, becoming one with the machine. Across both, I confronted the internalized and public gaze placed on women in a male-coded arena. The images hold a tension between exposure and control, the body and bike aligned, moving between presence and power. The series culminated in an exhibition at MotorGrrl Garage, Brooklyn.
